If you wish to register for an event, please contact the organiser shown in the event details. You will need to be a paid member to register for an event (except if mentioned otherwise in the event). Experts to total novices are welcome to join our sailing events. When organising a sailing event, the organiser will always ask the participants about their sailing skill. The organiser will then, based on everyone’s responses, decide on how best to dived the participants into crews.
Dear BISC members,
It is my pleasure to invite you to the BISC (vzw) Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place on Wednesday 30 March 2022. The meeting will take place in person (yes!), upstairs at the Coq en Pate restaurant, Tomberg 259, 1200 Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. The AGM will start punctually at 7.00 pm and last for about one hour. It will be followed by a dinner (a separate email will be sent with all details).
The winds of change are blowing: Kat and Roel will step down as Chair and Secretary of BISC vzw, and the AGM is asked to appoint new directors, as well (re-)appoint continuing or new committee members. So please join us for this occasion to wave goodbye to the old and welcome in the new!
If you are interested in becoming a committee member, in this or in a future year, please let us know. I would also like to extend a warm invitation to anyone interested in being actively involved in BISC to come forward. Whatever your interest or expertise is, we can always use help and you don’t have to become a committee member to help out. This could be (co-)organising events (social or sailing), marketing, website, databases, membership services, etc. Don’t be shy!
Everyone is warmly invited to attend the meeting but in order to vote at the AGM, you must be a member in good standing, i.e. you must have paid your 2022 BISC membership. Please pay your membership now if you have not done so already.
The draft agenda for the AGM is as follows:
The official documents for the AGM (including BISC membership list, AGM minutes, activity report, financial accounts, auditor’s report, budget, BISC statutes) will be circulated to all members by 15 March.
Do not hesitate to let us know of any questions, issues or suggestions, in advance
